I worked as a full time analyst/programmer in The National Bank of Dubai. During this period I developed applications for the L/C Department, the Guarantees Department, for Clearing Cheques, for Card Services, for the HR Department, for Post Dated Cheques, for Trust Receipts and for various areas of the bank which lent themselves to automation. I thoroughly enjoyed this work because I was moving the bank from manually performed operations to computerized environment. It was a pioneering work and I was delighted for being given the opportunity to bring about this change.

In 1998 I passed the CISA (Computer Information Systems Auditor) in my second attempt. Passing this exam was required to become an IT Auditor in a bank. I moved from Dubai to Doha to work as an IT Auditor in QNB (Qatar National Bank). 

After working for more than five years in QNB I joined a Qatar Government authority to work as a Senior IT Auditor. 

Thereafter I worked as IT Audit Manager for an international audit firm. In the year 2021 I passed the NIA (National Information Assurance) exam which is the IT Security Standard for Qatar. Now I am working as an IT Consultant for an IT Company. 

It is a rewarding journey because the rapid advances in technology is always keeping me on my toes as I strive  to get certifications and keep myself abreast of the latest advances in computer technology.
