Silent for Namaz is a simple iPhone Shortcut designed to help keep your phone silent during the five daily prayers.
The Shortcut automatically places the iPhone in a silent or Focus mode at the beginning of each prayer period and restores the phone to its normal state after the selected period has ended. The calls which you may have missed while your phone was in DND (Do Not Disturb) mode will be displayed on the phone after the prayer duration time has elapsed.
It is intended to help prevent phone calls, notifications and other interruptions from disturbing you or others during Namaz.
The Shortcut is provided free of charge as a useful service. It has been developed with the aim of making a simple, practical solution available to anyone who may find it helpful. This shortcut works independently of GPS or the geographical location of the user.
The prayer durations can be adjusted by the user to suit the time they spend for prayers and duaa’s (supplications). This can be done by clicking the three dots on the top right hand corner of the shortcut and carefully modifying the time in minutes. If they make some mistakes then they can always download a new copy of the shortcut from the above-mentioned link.
If there are people whose calls you must be able to receive immediately—even during prayer—please configure your iPhone’s Focus/Do Not Disturb settings accordingly before using the Shortcut.
